Relief from anxiety isn’t just about changing your thoughts, it’s also about helping your body feel safe again.

True Relief from Anxiety Comes from Calming Both Body and Mind

Looking up at green and yellow leaves on trees against a blue sky.

You may notice anxiety not just in your thoughts, but in your body too.  When you’re feeling anxious, you might try to convince yourself that everything is fine but if your body is in a state of alarm, logic alone often isn’t enough.

This might show up as:

  • Tense muscles, especially in your neck and shoulders

  • Fatigue that doesn’t seem to make sense

  • Irritability

  • A racing heart

  • Shallow breathing

These physical symptoms can keep your mind on high alert, no matter how much you try to reason with yourself.

That’s why, in therapy, we’ll focus not only on your thoughts but also on calming your body. Together, we’ll explore practicing grounding techniques, somatic exercises, breathing practices, and other tools to help regulate your nervous system so you feel safer, calmer, and more at ease.

Learn more

Hi, I’m Veronica. I help women navigate anxiety and feel more empowered. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by worry, navigating the ups and downs of trying to conceive, adjusting to the emotional changes of pregnancy, or struggling to find balance in motherhood, you’re in the right place.

My view on anxiety is this: if we can become less critical of its presence, we can begin to learn from it. Anxiety often signals us to pay attention to the parts of life we care deeply about and that matter most. When approached with curiosity and safety, it can serve as a guide toward meaningful change.

My goal is to help you feel supported, grounded, and more connected to yourself. My approach blends compassion, expertise, and practical tools to help you find relief and a greater sense of calm.

Healing can begin when you no longer have to hold it all together alone, when you can share what’s really happening beneath the surface and be met with warmth, curiosity, and care.

FAQ’s

  • The first step is to reach out to me and we will schedule a free phone consultation. The initial call often lasts around 15-20 minutes.  This allows us a chance to talk about your needs, answer any questions, and see if we’re a good fit. From there, we’ll decide together how therapy can best support you.

  • I currently offer secure video therapy sessions online, making it convenient to care for your mental health from the comfort of your own space. I’m licensed in both Connecticut and New York, which means I can provide therapy to anyone located anywhere within those states.

  • At this time, I am accepting new clients paying privately, which means sessions are billed directly and paid out of pocket. Many clients choose this option because it allows us to focus on your needs without the restrictions of insurance, often creating more flexibility in our work together.

Some insurance plans do offer out-of-network benefits. If your plan includes this, you may be able to submit a superbill (a detailed receipt I provide) for potential reimbursement for therapy. Coverage varies by plan, so I always recommend checking directly with your insurance provider.  Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions.

  • The current rate is $200 for a 50-minute individual therapy session.  Payment is due at the time of service, and I accept major credit cards, debit cards, as well as HSA/FSA cards.

  • I require at least 24-hour notice to cancel or reschedule a session without being charged the full session fee. Appointments are reserved in advance at a consistent time based on your treatment goals and our mutual availability. Because consistency is such an important part of therapy, you are responsible for attending scheduled sessions. If you need to reschedule, I will do my best to accommodate you when possible.
